Monica Melkova, organ and Manuel Blanco, trumpet

Seventh concert of the 10 that make up the Bach Vermut cycle in the 2016-2017 season, scheduled at the Auditorio Nacional de Música Symphony Hall, from 15 October 2016 to 27 May 2017 by the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (CNDM).

Is the first time that Bach Vermut concert brings together a highly sought-after combination: the trumpet and organ repertoire. Manuel Blanco’s international release came after winning the first prize at the ARD Music Competition in Munich in 2011. Together with him, the co-star of this program is the great Slovak improviser Monica Melcova, who will open the concert with the great monument that is the Prelude in E flat major de Bach, considered the most respected work of the repertoire of organ music, and closing it with improvisations on themes suggested by the public. The concert is repeated the following day in Logroño Cathedral.
